Cath Lab Registered Nurses
A part of The Methodist Hospital System in Houston, Texas, Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is a growing, 251-bed,
nonprofit, tertiary care hospital in Northwest Houston. We are the only faith-based hospital in the area with expanded
services in cardiology, neuroscience, orthopedics, oncology and pediatrics. Honored with the ANCC Pathways to
Excellence nursing designation, we have also received the HealthGrades® Coronary Intervention Excellence
AwardTM 2010 and Distinguished Hospital AwardTM 2010.


With two state-of-the-art Cath Labs, our team performs EP studies, AICD implants, interventional radiology and TACE
procedures, and nurses have an average case load of 8-10 patients daily. We seek licensed RNs (Texas or eligible)
with two or more years' Cath Lab experience and an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) to join our team.
Current CPR, BLS, ACLS and basic EKG skills required.

Legacy Health is currently recruiting for an experienced Cardiovascular Service Line Director to join our team. As the sixth largest private sector employer in Oregon, we are a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation with more than 9,700 employees and five acute care hospitals serving the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan area.

The Cardiovascular Service Line Director is a liaison between Legacy Health’s senior leadership and cardiovascular physician leaders to foster increased communication and focus on service line growth.  This position is responsible for development of strategic planning; business development, growth and quality improvement plans for cardiovascular care in close collaboration with the Hospital Chief Administrative Officers and physician leaders.  This position will also provide direct oversight over cardiovascular operations as the program develops.

Requirements to be considered:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related health care field or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree required. 
  • Previous business/administration experience, experience working in successful partnership with physicians and experience working in leadership role with clinical specialty areas of Cardiology and Cardio/Thoracic surgery, or Vascular diseases, required.
  • Minimum of six years progressively more responsible experience within health care environment required; experience within a multi-unit health system preferred.
  • Demonstrated communication, leadership and business development skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management, planning and service implementation.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership, physicians, management and staff.

• Cath Lab Leader is responsible for more than 45 full-time employees (Staff consists of special procedure technicians, cardiovascular
technicians, cath lab support technicians and registered nurses)

South Seminole Hospital is a 206-bed community hospital about ten miles north of Orlando itself, still in "greater Orlando".  We are currently seeking the following professional:

Cardiac Catheterization Lab Supervisor

Supervise the RNs, Cardiovascular Technologists and/or EP Technologists, PSAs, Non-Invasive Technologists and Clinical Techs in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to include all daily operations, staffing and operational functions. Participate in the hiring and training of new staff. Responsible for the scheduling of all staff. Ensure completion of all rotational tasks. Lead the process of daily operational problem resolution. Jointly participate with the Manager on the staff coaching plans. Participate with the Medical Director and Manager in coordination of departmental activities. Communicate with the Medical Director and the Manager of the department to maintain and improve patient procedural operations and development. Participate with the Medical Director and administration in the promotional, marketing and managed care activities of the department. Facilitate budget improvement activities. Oversee all departmental work group functions. Maintain radiation safety records of personnel. Ensure that all quality control and state and federal regulations are met. Must be available for on-call participation.

Responsible for the departmental participation in inter-departmental Process Improvement teams. Maintain records of Process Improvement for the Catheterization Labs for JCAHO. Manage various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans and disciplinary actions. The Lab Supervisor must be able to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards and maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Maintain a cooperative working environment in the department and correct personnel inadequacies of skill, knowledge or CTE behaviors. Ensure that all standards of the State of Florida Federal Agencies, Orlando Health Administration or any other regulatory agency are met or exceeded. Participate in budgeting and monthly financial review for area. Perform other duties as required.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with three years of clinical experience and/or be a graduate of an accredited registered nurse and/or allied health professional program with equivalent years of experience (may be substituted on a two-for-one basis). Must maintain licensure/certification/registry in the specific specialty. ACLS/BLS certification required.

As Cardiac Cath, Imaging Nurse, you'll use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care for patients during procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization and Imaging department.

  • Identifying and collecting information about the patient's health status
  • Preparing patients for procedures and moderate sedation
  • Providing medication administration
  • Assisting with procedures in Interventional Radiology, Imaging and Cardiac Cath
  • Delivering care of geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal patients until they are returned their room or discharged
  • Providing patient/family education
  • Developing treatment plans and exercise prescriptions
  • Communication with physician regarding changes in patient condition
  • Maintaining accurate documentation
  • Assessing quality outcomes

The candidate we seek will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Georgia
  • 2+ years' experience in cardiac catheterization and critical care nursing (5 years' recent clinical experience preferred, especially in cardiac or imaging nursing.
  • Current BCLS and ACLS certification

The Invasive Specialist performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention for cardiovascular procedures. Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures and protocols. Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age specific needs. Ensures that patient's education of procedure performed, needs, safety and comfort are met while in his or her care. Acquires patient’s clinical history and assures that the information is accurately documented. Verifies files and records for completeness and accuracy of the patient involved in studies. Archives and amends demographic information to appropriate storage media. Positions patient, equipment and associated devices and manipulates technical factors to achieve high quality images for interpretation. Assesses processed image media for technical quality and patient identification.

Qualified candidates must be a Cardiovascular Technician with an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Radiologic Technology or possess a Rad Tech certification. One year of experience in Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology or Angiography Lab is required. Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is required. Must maintain 12 CEUs per year or 36 every three years. Cardiovascular Tech (CVT) must be renewed every three years. Candidates must maintain a current BLS and ACLS certification. PALS may be required, depending on unit specific needs.
