Cardiovascular Service Line Administrator

St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin are looking for a visionary leader to be our Cardiovascular Service Line Administrator who will provide direction, management, and decision making for both hospitals.

The Cardiovascular Service Line Administrator will be responsible for the planning and execution of a regional cardiovascular services vision consistent with HSHS and both hospitals’ goals.  The service line administrator will lead the transformation of a regional cardiovascular service in Northeastern Wisconsin. Collaborate with leaders at all levels of the organizations to deliver regional cardiovascular services.

Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care, Business, or related field. Master’s degree is preferred.  Five years of leadership experience in hospital management required with Cardiovascular Service Line leadership experience preferred.   Qualified candidates must have experience with strategic and business planning tools, and processes.  Individuals should possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent communication and organizational skills.  Have the ability to work autonomously and deal with a variety of people.

Job Summary: The Vascular Operations Manager is ultimately responsible for managing ongoing cost-effective operations across the vascular service line. This includes recruiting, selecting and managing clinical, lead and support personnel within the vascular departments, maintaining compliance with Hospital and regulatory standards, and maintaining leadership presence and influence across the organization in departments highly critical to successful service line development.

The incumbent interacts with physicians, other departments and patient families to coordinate and integrate existing and new vascular clinical services. The Vascular Operations Manager works in coordination with the Administrative Director of the Heart & Vascular Center and the Vascular Medical Director to provide input into the vision and strategic plan for Vascular Services, but maintains accountability for development and implementation of annual operational plans. This implies budget and financial expertise to ensure positive financial outcomes associated with the vascular programs and services.

The Vascular Operations Manager is responsible to maintain current knowledge of clinical technology advancements to ensure that the service line utilizes leading edge technology to provide optimal patient care and grow market share in a competitive marketplace.

Additionally the incumbent is responsible to keep current with National, State and Regional Standards/Laws for Vascular services. The Vascular Operations Manager is also responsible for the identification of education needs and working collaboratively with the Heart & Vascular Education Coordinator to address said needs.

The incumbent has the ultimate responsibility for collaborative quality initiatives among the various departments that comprise the vascular service line, and therefore must work collaboratively with the Heart & Vascular Data Analyst and Quality Department representatives.

The incumbent also manages the development and implementation of customer service initiatives that impact outcomes across the service line.

Minimum Work Experience: Three years supervisory or management in cardiovascular or vascular related field required. Cardiovascular clinical experience preferred. Experience to include supervising personnel, financial and budget management, program planning and implementation and procedural operations. Strong experience in staff education in areas of procedure performance, technology, quality assurance and customer service. Familiarity with Service Line development and marketing.

Heart Center Manager (Invasive and Noninvasive Cardiology)

This 254-bed regional medical center, located on the shores of Lake Michigan and just 90 miles of northeast of Chicago, is seeking a Heart Center Manager.
He or she will oversee 3 state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization suites at the medical center’s prestigious award winning Heart Center as well as with direct
oversight for the non-invasive departments. In collaboration with the Executive Director, Cardiovascular Services, the Heart Center Manager has responsibility for providing direction and leadership for diagnostic and therapeutic patient services. Cath Lab RN with coronary interventional experience - Mattoon, IL

Are you looking to get in on a ground floor opportunity?  If so, we’ve got the perfect opportunity for you.  Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, in Mattoon, IL will soon be implementing a new PCI program.  We’re looking for a Cath Lab RN with coronary interventional experience to participate in the development of a new venture here at SBLHC.  This RN position will be instrumental in the development and participation in working with emergent patients in need of life saving treatment.  It will include being a mentor/proctor for our diagnostic staff and the opportunity to help prepare/train floor nurses.

Requirements include:  minimum of two-year nursing degree; Illinois nursing license; minimum of two years experience in a cardiac cath lab in both diagnostic & interventional procedures; in-depth knowledge of cardiac, anatomy & physiology; advance cardiac arrhythmia recognition, hemodynamic monitoring and use of all operational equipment; and current certification in ACLS.

The incumbent will provide nursing care to patients in the   Cardiac Catheterization, Stress Test and Echocardiographic Laboratories. The Nursing Practice is based on conscious deliberate planning and the nurse is self-directed in goal setting for managing complex patient situations in a critical care setting .  The Interventional Cardiology Nurse is responsible for the clinical, administrative, research and educational aspects of the assignment.

Qualified candidates must: be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; possess a current, full, active and unrestricted license as a registered professional nurse; have experience applying standards of care and assisting in the performance of invasive and interventional cardiac procedures, including heart catheterization, angiography and stent deployment; ACLS, Conscious Sedation Certified; and possess a strong clinical background. .
